Updating your Hail Website

When updating a Hail website, there are a few different areas of content to consider. This article will explain where to edit each part of your website.

Website landing page content

All the content found on the landing page of your website can be edited *from the website edit tab in Hail.

*from: for a few elements, you can find the editing option on the website edit screen, but it links off and takes you to the correct section of Hail to edit that element. For e.g. Blocks, website buttons, articles, and publications

Let's take a quick look at what is on a Canvas website and where you can edit it.

(follow these same principles for Classic and Collective as well)

Website pages

When you look at your navigation menu on your website, everything that makes up that menu structure is either an article, publication or an external link.

If the content you are looking at is NOT an external link, then it is either an ARTICLE or PUBLICATION.

A good way to tell, is to look at the URL:

If I would like to edit information that is on a 'webpage' that has an 'a' in it's URL- you need to look for that article in your article library.

  1. Go to your article library
  2. Filter on assigned and choose your website name. All your articles which are linked to your website will now appear.

  1. If the URL has 'publication' in it - you can head to your publication library.
  2. Filter on assigned and choose the website you are hoping to edit.
