Creating a website with a template takes just a few steps:

1. Choose a template

   Browse the template library and select the style you want.

2. AI-assisted setup

   Hail Assist prepares the layout and editable content and adds the template to your account.

3. Edit and publish

   Replace the demo content, customise blocks, and publish your website when ready. (Hail Help)

Where do I find website templates?

To view templates:

1. Go to the Websites section in your Hail dashboard.
2. Open the Templates tab.
3. Browse available templates and select one to preview.

From there you can create a new website using the template.

What are Creative templates?

Creative templates are a newer style of Hail website templates built using flexible content blocks.

Unlike previous website styles (Canvas, Classic, and Collective), Creative templates allow you to:

• Add or remove blocks
• Move sections around the page
• Mix blocks from different templates
• Build layouts that feel almost fully custom

This gives you more flexibility while still keeping the editing process simple.

What happens when I add a template?

When you select Create on a template:

• Hail Assist automatically prepares the template
• The website is added to your account
• You are redirected to the edit screen so you can start customising immediately

Your website will initially contain demo content that shows how the template layout works.

What is demo content?

Demo content is placeholder content included in templates to show how different blocks and sections can be used.

You should replace this content with your own information, such as:

• Organisation name and description
• Images and logos
• News and announcements
• Contact details

Demo blocks can also be removed if they are not needed.

How do I edit blocks on my website?

When editing a page you will see a list of blocks that make up the page layout.

You can:

• Edit a block – update text, images, and settings
• Move blocks – drag them up or down to change layout order
• Delete blocks – remove sections you don’t need
• Add new blocks – insert additional content sections

Blocks make it easy to customise your website layout without needing technical skills.

Can I mix blocks from different templates?

Yes. Creative templates allow you to combine blocks from multiple templates.

This means you can start with one template but add sections or layouts from other templates if they suit your website better.
