Frequently asked questions about the Hail mobile app
Do users need to follow our organisation to see content?
Yes. Users need to follow your organisation in the app to receive your shared content and push notifications.
Can users turn off push notifications?
Yes. Users can follow your organisation without enabling device notifications.
Can content be scheduled?
Yes. Articles, publications, and standalone notices can all be scheduled.
Can noticeboards be scheduled?
No. Noticeboards themselves are shared immediately when published.
Can I share a notice both standalone and inside a noticeboard?
Yes, but this is not recommended as it may create duplicate notices in the app.
Why is my content not appearing in the right order?
Content in the app is sorted by date, so make sure your publish and content dates are correct.
Can we show our calendar in the app?
Yes. Adding a public Google Calendar address in your Hail settings will display a Calendar tab in the app.
Where does the app get our organisation information from?
The app pulls information directly from your Hail organisation profile (found in settings), including:
- Logo
- Description
- Contact details
- Website links
- Social media links
- Brand colours
